Lilongwe: Stansfield Motors in Malawi is bringing back a vehicle brand Renault which was taken out of the market in the 1990’s.
The company’s general manager Michael Khomani disclosed in Blantyre that the company will be selling the Renault brand after signing a franchise contract with Salvador Caetano group of Portugal.
“The interesting part is that this franchise is not new to us, we had it in the 90’s and hence we are just continuing from where we stopped,” he said.
He warned that the vehicle industry to brace for more competition with Stansfield Motors since it plans to bring more vehicle brands in the country before the end of this year.
The bringing back of Renault brand the company says is part of its strategy to bring more innovation through new products for better and wider choice to customers.
“We have the technical expertise and now even more passion to drive the Renault brand. Since then Renault vehicles have undergone tremendous model changes with modern technology advancement,” he observed.


Official launch of this vehicle brand is expected today June 11. Renault is a renowned brand all over the world and is an award winning French brand of the European Car year award six times with the most recent being 2006.
Currently Renault Fluence a saloon, Koleos and Duster are the models trending on the vehicle market for Renault brand
