TNM Super League has again ended in the hands of the Silver Strikers as they have made it to be the 2012/2013 champions.

The bankers have made it by goal aggregate as they had more goals than the Big Bullets which had the same points as Silver Strikers but had 31 goals less than 37 of the bankers.

However, the team from the capital Malawi lost 1 nil to Mighty Wanderers in their last game at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe.  Mighty wanderers gave tough moments to the then defending champions both in the first and second half for it to win with a goal from Mike Kaziputa.

As Silver Strikers were playing Mighty Wanderers, there was also another game at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre between Big Bullets and the Zomba based Red Lions.  Big Bullets failed to score the required ten goals for it to be the champions but managed to score three goals to defeat Red Lions 3-0.

The People’s Team’ goals came from Gabadinho Mhango in the first half before Divason Mlozi scored another goal for Big Bullets.  Despite all the efforts to score more games, there was no other goal except the last one which Gabadinho Mhango scored again but through a penalty.

Speaking after being game, Silver Strikers Coach Franko Ndawa, said it has been so good to them owning the league again.

“It has been a long journey indeed but we are happy that we have still made and we are the champions once again.  I have also to thank my players for the big job well done,” He said.

And to the Bullets side in Blantyre, Coach Edington Ng’onamo said “It could not be possible to score all the ten goals in one game but we are still happy that we have finished second.”  Said Ng’onamo who is also the National Team’s Coach.

So this is how the TNM Super League has ended Silver Strikers on Top with 58 Points seconded by Big Bullets with the same points as the bankers but differ in goals.  Blantyre United came third with Mighty Wanderers on the forth position and Red Lions on number five.
